The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, received on 20th November 2014 at his office, the new Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the OIC, H. E. Mahdi Hamzehei, who presented his letters of credentials to the Secretary General. The envoy conveyed the appreciation and satisfaction of his country with the leadership and efforts of the Secretary General. He also assured the Secretary General of Iran’s full support and cooperation with the OIC. Welcoming the Ambassador and wishing him success, the Secretary General expressed the hope that Iran, as an important Member State of the OIC, would continue its cooperation and contribution for the sake of Islamic causes. During the meeting, ways and means of further enhancing bilateral relations between the OIC and Iran were also discussed.
