The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, strongly condemned the terrorist attack on 2 November 2014 near the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore. The heinous blast caused the death of at least 55 innocent people and gravely injured more than 120 others. The Secretary General expressed his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Pakistan as well as to the families of the victims and prayed for the quick recovery of the wounded. Madani called on the concerned authorities in Pakistan to bring the perpetrators of this inhuman terrorist attack to justice.
