The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, received on Tuesday 28 January 2014 the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia in Riyadh, H.E. Ali Ben Arafa, as permanent representative of the Republic of Tunisia to the OIC. During the meeting, the Secretary General commended Tunisia for its continuous support for joint Islamic action, and hailed the environment of consensus that led to the adoption of the new constitution and will facilitate the timely completion of the transitional period. He wished the Tunisian people prosperity and progress. For his part, the Tunisian Ambassador stated that he was proud of representing Tunisia in the OIC and willing to work within the OIC framework for the best interest and glory of the people of the Muslim Ummah.
