The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iyad Ameen Madani, has expressed his congratulations to the people of Tunisia on the occasion of the Constituents Assembly’s ratification of a new constitution for the country opening up promising prospects and laying strong foundation for building a pluralistic and democratic state. The Secretary General commended the sincere will and unflagging desire for consensus displayed by all Tunisian political parties and civil society in line with the values of tolerance and moderation for which Tunisians are well-known. Madani expressed his best wishes to Tunisia and its people for greater prosperity, progress and development.
