H.E. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the OIC received Ambassador Yunus Demirer, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 1 December 2013. Ambassador Demirer presented his credentials to the Secretary General as his country’s Permanent Representative to the OIC. Secretary General congratulated Ambassador Demirer on the assumption of his duties and expressed his conviction that the relations between the OIC and Turkey will be further developed and enhanced during his tenure in Riyadh. Ambassador Demirer underlined his country’s commitment and support to the OIC. He also commended the Secretary General for increasing the visibility of the OIC in the international arena during his tenure in the last nine years as the Secretary General. Secretary General and Ambassador Demirer also exchanged views on the issues occupying the agenda of the OIC.
