The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is shocked and deeply saddened learning the news of the tragic plane crush in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, killing all 50 passengers and crew members including the beloved son of the Tatarstan President Rustem Minnikhanov. In a message to President Minnikhanov, Secretary General Ihsanoglu extended his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the family for their great loss in this tragic accident. He also expressed condolences to the families who lost their relatives and loved ones in the plane crash and prayed for the salvation of the departed souls.
