The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has welcomed the efforts of the Bahraini government to implement the recommendations contained in the report of the independent fact-finding committee, following the release of the progress report on the implementation of the Committee’s recommendations. He commended the Government’s determination to strengthen the reform process and consolidate human rights in Bahrain. The Secretary General expressed his hope that these reforms would contribute to supporting national reconciliation for the good and interest of the Bahraini people and the security and stability of this member state of the OIC.
