The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, strongly condemned the brutal aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against Gaza Strip, which left scores martyred and wounded. He described this continuous military escalation a heinous crime and flagrant violation of the international norms and conventions and of international law, which would threaten regional stability and security. The Secretary General blamed Israel, the occupying force, for the consequences of the continuation and escalation of its aggression and war crimes it is launching against the Palestinian people. The Secretary General also called on the international community and the United Nations to uphold its responsibilities and intervene swiftly to stop this continuous Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people and to compel Israel to respect International Law.
