OIC Expresses Concern about Reports of Syrian Soldiers Killed after Being Seized by Militants

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation expressed on Saturday, November 3, 2012, its deep concern over media reports of alleged torture and murder of Syrian army soldiers after being seized by militants. The OIC reaffirmed its firm position which rejects the killing of prisoners in consonance with Almighty Allah’s saying: ‘whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind’. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation reiterated its condemnation of the continuing acts of violence and killing against unarmed civilians in Syria.
