OIC Secretary General Welcomes The Appointment of a New Prime Minister in Somalia.

The Secretary General of the OIC, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has welcomed the appointment of Mr. Nur Hassan Hussein as the new Prime Minister of Somalia.   Prof. Ihsanoglu, while congratulating the new Prime Minister, advised him to work with all Somali groups towards achieving omprehensive national reconciliation and peace in the country. He also reminded him of the humanitarian crises facing the nation and the urgent need to resolve it.   The Secretary General further appealed to all opposition groups in and outside Somalia to abandon violence and enter into dialogue with the new Prime Minister in order to bring to an end, the sufferings of the Somali people.
