OIC General Secretariat Calls on All Parties in Syria to Respond Positively to the Arab Initiative

The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has renewed its support for the Arab Initiative to Resolve the Syrian Crisis and has welcomed the implementation measures adopted by the Arab Foreign Ministers in their meeting held in Cairo on 22 January 2012. The General Secretariat has called on the Syrian government and opposition to respond positively to this initiative with a view to preserving the security, stability and unity of Syria, stopping the bloodshed and realizing the aspirations of the Syrian people for reform and political participation.
