The Secretary General of the OIC Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has today, 22 January 2012 received in audience at the General Secretariat, H. E. Mr. Pasi Patokallio, Special Representative of the Foreign Minister of Finland. During the meeting Mr. Patokallio highlighted the importance of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the international level and expressed his country’s interest to further strengthen its relationship with the organization in all areas of common interest. On his part, Prof. Ihsanoglu, welcomed Finland’s interest in the activities of the OIC and stressed on the necessity to further strengthen OIC-Finland bilateral relations based on the common areas of concern.
