Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) reviewed today Saturday 14th January 2012, in Riyadh, with Prince Salman Ben Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the situation witnessed currently in the region, in addition to other various issues in the Islamic world, and the significant pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the regional and international levels. The Secretary General congratulated Prince Salman on his designation at the head of the Defense Ministry and offered an overview of the important steps taken by the OIC in all fields: political, economic, humanitarian, education and technological as well as on the programs and projects being implemented. Ihsanoglu also evoked with HRH the Prince the radical changes which the Organization has been through over the past year, particularly the change in its name and its logo.
