OIC Secretary General Mourns The Death Of The President Of Guinea Bissau

The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has expressed sorrow and deep sympathy over the demise of the President of Guinea Bissau, HE Malan Bacai Sanha which occurred on 9th January 2012 in a Paris hospital. On this sad occasion, Prof Ihsanoglu conveyed his sincere condolence to the family of the deceased and to the government and people of Guinea Bissau. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the late leader who served as a pillar of national unity, eternal rest in His Paradise and to his countrymen, the fortitude to bear the huge loss. The Secretary General also emphasized the importance for an orderly constitutional transition in the country in order to safeguard peace and stability in the West African nation.
