The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has condemned the latest violence unleashed by the militant Boko Haram group in Damaturu, Potiskum and Maiduguri in North Eastern Nigeria which led to the loss of tens of innocent lives. He therefore conveyed to the families of the victims, the government and people of Nigeria, his heartfelt sympathy and condolences. Prof Ihsanoglu who denounced the continuing insecurity caused by the militant activities of the group in parts of the country, called on it to seek dialogue forthwith with the government and put an end the bloodshed and the sufferings of the people. He also urged all citizens to join hands with the authorities to preserve the peace and stability of the nation.
