The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is scheduled to travel to Libya on an official visit on Thursday, 15 December 2011. During his visit, he will meet with Libyan officials to discuss ways and means to enhance cooperation and strengthen relations between the OIC and Libya, after the victory of the revolution in this country which is a member in the Organization. It should be noted that the President of the Transitional Council in Libya, Mr. Abdul Jalil Mustafa, expressed in a letter sent to the OIC Secretary General, his welcoming of the Secretary General's visit to Libya, underscoring the OIC stands in support of Libya since the beginning of the revolution.
