The OIC Secretary General Prof .Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has expressed his deep concern on the recent developments in the Sudan following the decision by the Sudan People's Liberation Movement to suspend its participation in the Government of National Unity. The Secretary General, who stated that the OIC has been following closely the unfolding recent developments in the country, appealed to both parties to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) to resolve all their differences related to the implementation of the Agreement within the agreed mechanisms which had already been established in this regard. He further called on the parties to exercise maximum restraint and to continue to engage in constructive dialogue in order to settle all the outstanding issues in the overall interest of the Sudanese people.
