The OIC General Secretariat Affirms its Solidarity with the Tunisian People and Calls on it to Preserve Security and Stability

The General Secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) follows with concern the ongoing events in the Republic of Tunisia, a founding Member State of the OIC. While considering these events as being part of Tunisia‘s internal affairs, the General Secretariat reaffirms its solidarity with the Tunisian people and calls on all Tunisians to endeavor to preserve security and stability, protect public and private property and safeguard their achievements. The General Secretariat hopes Tunisia will soon overcome these events through the solidarity and unity of its people aspiring to the establishment of democracy and good governance in the country consistent with its constitutional and legal rules.
