The Secretary General of the OIC, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu today, 10th February 2007, received in audience at the General Secretariat, the Ambassador of Cote d’Ivoire in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Hamza Salah. The envoy who is also the principal representative of his country to the OIC, briefed the Secretary General on the latest developments on the conflict in Cote d’Ivoire and commended the General Secretariat for the practical measures so far taken to implement the provisions of the Resolution on Cote d’Ivoire adopted by the 33rd ICFM in Baku. Prof. Ihsanoglu on his part, reiterated OIC’s solidarity with the West African nation and informed of his plan to expeditiously dispatch a fact-finding mission to Code d’Ivoire.
