Permanent Representative of the OIC presents Letters of Credence to the Afghan Foreign Minister

The Permanent Representative of the OIC to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ambassador A. H. M. Moniruzzaman has, on 02 January 2011, presented his credentials to H. E. Mr. Zalmai Rassoul, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan at his office in Kabul. During the occasion, Ambassador Moniruzzaman briefed the Minister about OIC’s role and support in bringing back stability in Afghanistan. On his part, the Minister mentioned that Afghan Government attached high importance to the opening of an OIC Resident Mission in Kabul and hoped that it would contribute towards the economic development by helping restore peace and stability in the country. The Minister assured Ambassador Moniruzzaman of all possible support and assistance from the Afghan Government during his assignment in Kabul. Both sides also discussed about the areas where OIC can extend support to Afghanistan in building its capacities.
