The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference , Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, received on 26 -12- 2010, at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah, the new Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Dr. Abdullah Yuldashev. In his welcome remarks to the new Ambassador, the Secretary-General affirmed his full preparedness and expressed the hope that bilateral cooperation would enhance existing relations between the OIC and the Republic of Tajikistan. The Tajik diplomat conveyed to the Secretary-General the greetings of the leadership of Tajikistan and its appreciation for the good efforts he is exerting to develop the Organization's work. He assured him of his country’s keen interest to make every effort to support and energize the joint Islamic action. Ambassador Yuldashev briefed the Secretary-General on the latest developments in his country and the Central Asian region, and the Tajik Government's efforts in the face of economic problems. The Secretary-General emphasized anew that the Secretariat would spare no effort to undertake its responsibilities for the benefit of the Ummah.
