In the speech of Ihsanoglu at the opening of the thirty-ninth session of PFC: The OIC has many programs to be adopted in the second half of the ten-year programme

Secretary General of OIC, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, confirmed that the new reality of the Organization is reflected in the growing confidence of Member States in their usefulness and relevance, which was reflected by the commitment to mandatory contributions of Member States which invites to satisfactory. In his speech to the thirty-ninth session of the Permanent Finance Committee in its meeting held at Headquarters in Jeddah, he said that the number of Member States not paying their financial obligations came down from 21 in 2005 to 5 States in 2010. Ihsanoglu said that the Organization has emerged as effective, credible and respected as well as leading prestigious international organizations, and in increasing numbers of States wishing to join or associate with work relations. The OIC Secretary General pointed out that the Organization is currently entering to other new areas, with great prospects, opened at the Special Summit of Mecca, with generous initiative of custodian of the two Holly Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and its 10-year work programme which entrusted the Organization of the duty to carry out its implementation, in cooperation with Member States. Ihsanoglu stressed that this programme is a big program of Renaissance for a nation in the size of the Islamic Ummah of which citizens represent almost a quarter of the humanity, pointing out that it is clear from huge responsibility requiring exceptional efforts unprecedented and availability requirements of the construction process of the great Islamic entity. He noted that between these requirements is the existence of qualified human resources with high technical skills dealing with new burdens and competencies previously unknown. Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu stressed that the OIC is facing, in the next five years, many programmes to be achieved in the second half of the ten-year programme with all its complexity, which is considered as a roadmap to Muslims, unanimously endorsed by Member States.
