The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, strongly condemned the suicide terrorist attack in Stockholm yesterday. Ihsanoglu stated that this criminal attack is denounced by all Muslims and the noble Islamic faith, and reiterated that those who are behind such heinous crimes are enemies of Islam and humanity and should therefore be brought to justice. He conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Sweden and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured. The Secretary General, while recalling the principled position of the OIC on terrorism, reiterated the determination of the organization to contribute with the international community to the eradication of the dangerous phenomenon.
