OIC General Secretariat Participates in Global Labor Market Conference

The Delegation of the General Secretariat of the OIC led by His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, is participating in the Global Labor Market Conference, which kicked off at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 13th December 2023.

The Global Labour Market Conference, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to enhance cooperation among various countries in the field of labor. It also provides a platform to exchange successful practices and innovative experiences to develop labor markets, as well as discuss the labor laws and policies aimed at facilitating job seekers' integration into the labor market, enhancing the workers' professional development, and creating a safe work environment.

Some of the key topics being discussed include: Global Labor Market Catalysts; Skills and Productivity Conundrums; Labor Market Makeovers, Youth Employment; Work for All; AI and Labor Market; The Right Way to (De) Regulate; and The Future Proofed Organization, among others.

The Global Labor Market Conference is being attended by the Ministers of Labor from various countries, leaders of relevant international organizations, heads of business establishments, academics, experts, and representatives of labor organizations.
