OIC Holds Online Three–Day Training Course Titled “Preparing Materials for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers”

Within the framework of cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, the OIC General Secretariat (Cultural Affairs Department) held a three-day online training course, aimed at promoting the visibility of the Arabic language (the language of the Qur’an). The course, titled “Preparing materials for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers” took place from 4 - 6 December 2023.
This cooperation came within the framework of implementing Ministerial Resolution No. 13/49C - Commemoration of World Arabic Language Day, issued by the Forty-ninth session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, held on 16 and 17 March 2023, in Nouakchott, Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The course was designed for educational staff specialized in the field of the Arabic language. It aimed at providing participants with vital knowledge and skills related to how to prepare and evaluate educational materials in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, by explaining the scientific foundations and practical steps involved in the preparation and evaluation stages.
