The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the humanitarian truce agreement in the Gaza Strip and applauded the mediation efforts deployed in this regard by the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt. It also underscored the need for continuous efforts to reach a total cessation of the brutal Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
The OIC also emphasized the need to provide humanitarian and medical assistance as well as basic needs to the Gaza Strip in a sustainable manner, calling at the same time on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
