He also called on the international community to take action to end the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
For their part, the members of the Ministerial Committee underlined the importance of immediately putting an end to the military escalation and the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, while ensuring prompt delivery of the needed humanitarian aid in order to avoid further aggravation of the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the Ministers insisted on the need to avoid further killing of civilians, calling on the international community to take effective action to deal with the crisis and stand against the ongoing violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces and their repeated transgressions of international law and international humanitarian law.
The Ministers expressed their absolute rejection of the war waged by the Israeli occupation authorities against the concept of the two-state solution, against self-determination, against freedom, and independence, and against the Palestinian presence on the land of the State of Palestine. They added that the Israeli occupation has committed all forms and types of crimes against the Palestinian people, the latest of which being the cutting off of water and electricity and the prevention of freedom of movement and decent living.
The Ministers stressed the importance for the international community to fulfill its responsibility, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, and take action to put an end to the blatant violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities, to their transgressions of all international laws and norms and of International Humanitarian Law, and to their provocative practices that would undermine the peace process and threaten global peace and security.
