Secretary-General Receives the Permanent Representative of Gabon to the OIC

The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received in audience on Wednesday, September 13, 2023; H. E. Mr. Guy Ibrahim Membourou, Permanent Representative of the Gabonese Republic to the OIC.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Gabon gave an overview of the evolution of the political situation in Gabon following the change in the country and the efforts undertaken by the transitional authorities to ensure stability.
For his part, the Secretary-General indicated that the OIC is following with great attention the evolution of the situation in Gabon, emphasizing the attachment of the OIC to the peace, security, and stability of Gabon, a founding member State of the OIC.
Furthermore, the two parties explored ways and means to further strengthen cooperative relations between the OIC and the Gabonese Republic.
