The Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Ambassador Yousef Al-Dubaie, delivered a statement on behalf of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation before NAM Summit-level Meeting on Post-COVID-19 Recovery. He praised the Republic of Azerbaijan, NAM Chairman, for wisely leading the NAM active actions. He also commended His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for his timely initiative to convene this meeting, to focus on post-COVID-19 recovery efforts.
In his statement, the Secretary-General highlighted the OIC efforts to provide assistance to confront the pandemic through its various organs, particularly the Islamic Solidarity Fund and the Islamic Development Bank, as well as the efforts of the OIC member states, foremost among them those of KSA, Chair of the Islamic Summit.
