The OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet met with , Dr. Ali Haji Adam Abubakar Minister of Health of Somalia, and Mrs. Maryam Mohammed Hussein, Minister of State for Health, as part of the current visit of the delegation of the General Secretariat to Somalia.
Both sides discussed the health projects implemented by the OIC in Somalia in partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian and stressed the importance of the organisation continuing its efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Somalia and mobilise more support for the health sector in Somalia.
On the other hand, the representative of the Islamic Solidarity Fund confirmed that the Fund will continue its tireless efforts to support the programs and projects of the Somali Ministry of Health.
