The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemns in the most vigorous terms the deplorable suicide explosion on 11 January 2023 outside the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan. The grisly blast reportedly left dozens of casualties and many others injured.
The General Secretariat reaffirms the steadfast position of the OIC in its support to Afghanistan in fighting all forms of terrorism and bringing perpetrators of terrorist acts to justice and holding them to account.
As it has emphatically stated time and again, the General Secretariat believes that for Afghanistan to regain political stability and much-needed security countrywide, any groups or individuals resorting to blind and blood-shedding violence need to be relentlessly combated.
The General Secretariat further extends its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the wounded quick recovery.
