The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has rejected the decision of the European Parliament on the situation of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, saying that the decision is based on inaccurate information that is offensive to Bahrain.
The General Secretariat commended Bahrain’s commitment to the principles of human rights and international standards, and to the protection of the rights of citizens and residents on its territory and appreciated Bahrain’s achievements in this regard.
The General Secretariat renewed the OIC’s support to and solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
