On the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance marked on 16 November 2022 every year, the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held a virtual symposium on 1 December 2022 as part of its series of lectures and cultural symposia to enhance and highlight its cultural content.

The guest of the symposium was Dr Yousef Al Hassan, Emirati writer and researcher and holder of a doctorate degree in political science. He is one of the pioneers of Emirati diplomacy (1972 – 2010), having held several diplomatic positions with various responsibilities, the most recent being Director General of the Diplomatic Institute with an ambassadorial rank, member Board of Trustees of many research centres, think tanks and universities.
