The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the decision by the United States of America to open an investigation into the murder of the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The OIC considers this an important step towards holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its repeated violations and crimes as it would contribute to justice.
