On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the comprehensive and independent national dialogue in Chad, on August 23, 2022, H. E. Ambassador Sherif Muhammad Zein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, received His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The two sides reviewed cooperation between The Republic of Chad and the OIC in various fields.
The Minister praised the OIC role in promoting joint Islamic action. He also commended the efforts of the Secretary-General in this regard. For his part, the Secretary-General lauded Chad's role in promoting peace and stability in the African Sahel. He renewed his wishes for the success of the national dialogue in Chad and affirmed the OIC support for the Republic of Chad in implementing the outcomes of this dialogue.
