The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Mourns the Death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and Expresses Condolences to UAE on the Great Loss

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation mourned the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Friday, 12 Shawwal 1443 H, ( 13/5/2022).

The OIC Secretary-General, His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the leadership, government and people of the United Arab Emirates, his family, and the entire Islamic Ummah, on this great loss.

He was one of the most prominent wise leaders in the world who laid the foundations for development in modern UAE. He also contributed to the empowerment and renaissance of the UAE, and in ensuring an eminent place for it in its Arab, Islamic and international surroundings. The Secretary-General stressed that the deceased contributed with his wisdom to humanitarian work inside and outside the UAE.

He prayed to the Almighty Allah to bless the deceased with His vast mercy, grant him abode in Paradise, and inspire his relatives and the Emirati people patience and solace.
