The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemns strongly the terrorist attack against several elements of the armed forces of the Togolese Republic deployed on a forward post of the Operation Koundjoare (Kpendjal, Savanes Region).
The OIC Secretary-General, His Excellency Hissein Brahim Taha, extends his condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, the Government and the people of Togo and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
The General Secretariat reiterates the full solidarity of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation with the Togolese Republic and its support to the Togolese Government in its efforts to combat terrorism.
