The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received on 25 April 2022, in his office, H.E. Mr. Patrick Simonnet, Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the EU Special Envoy to the OIC.
During the meeting, the two sides valued the OIC-EU constructive dialogue and the fruitful cooperation between them in various fields. They stressed the desire to further strengthen their relations.
The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest, including the Palestinian issue, Afghanistan, the situation in the Sahel and Lake Chad countries, issues of Muslim communities and minorities, Islamophobia and hate crimes.
