The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received, on 28 March 2022, Mr. Kanaan Adnan Abdul Rahim, Consul General of the Republic of Iraq, Permanent Representative to the OIC.
During the meeting, the permanent representative stressed the importance that Iraq attaches to cooperation with the OIC in order to strengthen its role and enhance joint Islamic action.
For his part, the OIC Secretary-General expressed his appreciation to the Republic of Iraq for its continuous support to the OIC and for its contributions to promoting joint Islamic action. The two sides reviewed the results of the visit of a high-level delegation of the General Secretariat headed by the OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs to Baghdad last February and the importance of following up on its results.
