The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, on 15 March 2022 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat received the Special Envoy of the People’s Republic of China to the Middle East, Mr Zhai Jun.
During this meeting, the two parties reviewed the state of relations between the OIC and China and discussed ways and means of enhancing dialogue and cooperation in various fields.
The Secretary-General reiterated the special attention the OIC attaches to Muslim communities in non-member states, including the Xinjiang autonomous region of China.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
