The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) today 20th December 2009, received at the General Secretariat, a delegation from the Republic of Congo led by a Presidential Advisor, HE. Mr Abas Haidara. Cherif. The Advisor, who delivered a special message from his country, commended the role of the OIC at the international level and conveyed the desire of his government’s to forge closer ties with the Muslim world. Prof Ihsanoglu on his part expressed his appreciation for the interest of Congo in the activities of the OIC and briefed on its vision and mission as enshrined in the new charter.
