OIC Secretary General attends the Cairo meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States

The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, left on Sunday, 20th December 2009, for Cairo, capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to attend the meeting of the Adhoc Committee to draw up a plan to reform and develop the statute and regulations of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC). The meeting is scheduled to hold its sessions through until 21st December 2009. The Secretary General is expected to deliver a statement on the legal basis that would regulate and govern the foundation of the OIC-PUIC cooperation.
