Secretary General in Egypt on Official Visit

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, is embarking on an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt from 7 to 9 December 2021, during which he would meet HE Mr Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Secretary General is expected to discuss bilateral relations with President El-Sisi and brief him about the programs and functioning of the OIC since assuming office as Secretary General last November.

The Secretary General and his high-level delegation will meet with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Mr Sameh Shokry and Arab League Secretary General Mr Ahmed Aboul Gheit, ahead of Wednesday when he will participate in the opening of the meeting of the Islamic Advisory Group for Polio Eradication.

His Eminence the Grand Imam of al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb will chair the meeting.
