Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, condemned strongly the terrorist attack on Erbil International Airport in Kurdistan Region in Iraq.
The Secretary-General stressed that this terrorist attack threatened the stability of Iraq and the region and undermined international counter-terrorism efforts.
Al-Othaimeen affirmed the OIC’s support for and solidarity with the Republic of Iraq in all the measures it would take to protect its security. He reaffirmed the OIC’s firm position rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, whatever their causes and motives.
