The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the reaffirmation by the government of Cameroon of its readiness to seek peaceful solutions, particularly through dialogue, to the crisis in its northwest and southwest regions.
The General Secretariat urged the government of Cameroon and the armed groups to persevere on the path of dialogue, to reach a political solution that preserves the national unity and the territorial integrity of Cameroon.
It reaffirmed its support to Cameroon’s government in its ongoing efforts and any initiative for a lasting solution to the crisis that has afflicted the country’s northwest and southwest regions for three years now.
