The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is holding over 8-9 December 2019 the High-level Public and Private Investment Conference in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey.
In a statement delivered on his behalf before the Conference by Ambassador Ahmed Ssenyomo, Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, the OIC Secretary General indicated that policy-makers and the business community both within the OIC region and beyond need to meet and exchange knowledge, and articulate commitments to improve the investment climate. He mentioned that the meeting of economic stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, traders and industrialists from OIC Member States represents a proper platform to bridge theory and practice, and provides policy-makers and entrepreneurs with the tools to enhance investment in major economic and developmental sectors.
The opening ceremony was also addressed by President of the Republic of Guinea, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania and the Prime Minister of Guinea Bissau.
The Investment Conference will finalize its work on 9th December 2019.
