Secretary General receives credentials of Afghanistan’s Permanent Representative to OIC

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen, in his office on 11 July 2019 received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr Shafiq Samim, as he presented his credentials as Afghanistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC.
Dr Al-Othaimeen welcomed Mr Samim, expressing his wishes for the continued progress, prosperity and security of the people of Afghanistan. The OIC is fully committed to supporting Afghanistan on various planes, he affirmed.
Expressing pride at representing his country at the OIC, the Afghani ambassador conveyed to the OIC Secretary General the greetings of President Ashraf Ghani, thanking him for the efforts to make successful last year’s International Ulema Conference for Peace and Stability in Afghanistan.
