The Secretary General of the OIC, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has strongly condemned the horrendous suicide attack in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Friday 9 October 2009, which killed around 50 and wounded dozens of other innocent people. Expressing his profound horror and shock over this terrorist act which is denounced by all Muslims and the Islamic faith, the OIC Secretary General reiterated that those who are behind such heinous crimes are enemies of Islam and humanity and should therefore be brought to justice. Prof. Ihsanoglu, while conveying his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, expressed once more, his full support for the Government of Pakistan in its efforts to fight against all forms of extremism and terrorism.
