The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, on Sunday, 6 January 2019, in his office in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest to the Muslim Ummah and the influential and pioneering status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic world. The Secretary-General lauded the Kingdom as the host country for its continued support to the OIC. He also highlighted the generous auspices offered by the Kingdom's leadership, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al- Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, to the OIC as a unifying platform, which enables Muslims to speak with one voice.
