OIC Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack on a Refugees’ Camp in Niger

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the deadly attack on 22 November 2018 by the terrorist group Boko Haram on a refugees’ camp in Toumour, in east of the Republic of Niger, which claimed the lives of seven hydraulic technicians and a government official and left many wounded.

The OIC Secretary General, while expressing dismay at the senseless attack by the terrorist group, conveyed his deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the government of the Republic of Niger and wished speedy recovery to the wounded.

He reaffirmed the principled position of the OIC against terrorism as an enemy of humanity and assured Niger and other countries in the region of the determination of the OIC to continue to support their counter terrorism efforts.
